Connecting alumni through competitive rowing

Meles Boat Club – Bath University’s Alumni Rowing Club

Founded in 2003 by dedicated alumni, Meles Boat Club provides a way for former Bath rowers to stay connected, race together, and support the university rowing community. Named after the Latin word for badger — paying homage to the iconic Badgerline Buses — Meles can be a hub for alumni to continue competing beyond graduation.

The club is currently in the process of re-affiliating with British Rowing. Once re-affiliated, Meles will support crews racing at events such as the University of Bristol BC Head in Bath, with aspirations to compete at larger races, including Henley Royal Regatta.

Kit Range

Meles has a kit range consisting of a rowing all in one, T-shirt, and a variety of cycling garments supplied by the BUBC kit partners Rival Kit. The price of these items includes a small mark up which goes to BUBC. You will also be able to access the main Bath University kit range, which you are also very welcome to purchase if you would like. 

We advise that if you would like to race with Meles BC at UBBC Head, or elsewhere, that you purchase an all in one to race in. If you have ideas about other items that you think would be popular, get in touch to help develop this kit range.
